Lincoln Knights' Trail

Follow a trail of 36 individually painted and crafted sculptures through the streets of Lincoln to celebrate 800 years since the Battle of Lincoln and the sealing of the Charter of the Forest.

The sculpture trail consists of 36 Knights on the back of their noble steeds, which represent the two main figures of the 1217 Battle of Lincoln.

This is a fun trail suitable for families of all ages. All the sculptures are outside and the trail is generally flat apart from the steep hill up and down from the cathedral which can be quite difficult for those with limited mobility.

The trail has been verified by our team and takes around 3 hours to complete (although there are loads of beautiful buildings, museums and coffee shops which will undoubtedly make the trail considerably longer!). There is no app available and the PDF map is too small to read on a smartphone screen, so we recommend picking up a free paper map at the tourist information next to Lincoln cathedral.
