York Ice Trail 2017

The historic city of York plays host to the sparkling and festive York Ice Trail.

This icy adventure forms the biggest outdoor ice art trail in the UK, with over 40 frosty figures around the city's streets, from the historic medievel Shambles to the Viking-inspired Coppergate arcade.

But be quick, the trail only lasts until the ice melts! The ice art trail runs 9 and 10 December 2017 from 09:00 until the ice melts (around 16:00). Some of York's ancient streets are steep and uneven, so not necessarily suitable for less able-bodied art trail participants. This trail is easily completed in a day and enables you to explore the city and sample some of the fantastic coffee shops and ancient breweries.

We did this art trail last year - it was so much fun and really got us into the Christmas spirit!
