About River Tay Public Art Trail

The River Tay is the longest river in Scotland, flowing through Perth on its journey to the North Sea. This art trail takes place in the City of Perth, where the river was first bridged in the middle ages. Alongside the river are placed a series of more than twenty-five thought-provoking sculptures which draw their inspiration from the river, the city, and the region.

The trail takes you on a journey around the city, along the waterfront, where you can see the majority of the sculptures. Some of the sculptures deviate away from the river but this is a highly accessible art trail, as showcased in this brilliant blog post by SimplyEmma.
