The school and playing fields closed in 2002 with the land being repurposed for housing and recreation. However, with the redevelopment, an art and sculpture trail along the canal was created to commemorate the legacy of Gyosei International School. The foundation stone from the Gyosei school forms the base of the first sculpture on the trail, followed by other Japanese-inspired sculptures depicting local birds, amphibians, and the most famous sculpture of concrete cows. The trail is located on both sides of the Grand Union Canal from H3 Monks Way to H5 Portway and is accessible from the local redway network Art Trail Tags Nature Countryside Permanent Sculpture Self-guided Practical Information Artworks 11 Timing 2 hours Difficulty Easy Access Good Author Information Added by: arttrailproject Published: 30 January 2023 Latest Gyosei Art Trail reviews No reviews yet.
