About Hull Fish Trail
Follow Hull’s unique pavement of fish, creating a tour of the historic Old Town. 41 pieces of sculpture made from traditional materials make up this impressive piece of public art. The artist Gordon Young created the trail of sculptures in 1992, representing the actual size of fish with life size pieces, from a tiny anchovy to a 10ft ray overlooking Victoria Pier. The art trail has a sense of humour too, with a plaice in the market place, an electric eel outside the electricity sub station and a shark outside a bank.
This impressive, family-friendly trail will see you take in everything from the big landmarks to peculiar back alleys you may have otherwise missed. The trail starts just outside the City Hall ticket office and finishes at the top of Whitefriargate. Maps are available in the City Hall ticket office or can be downloaded from the website.
