About The Tom Murphy Liverpool Sculpture Trail

The sculptor, Tom Murphy has created more than twenty status of historic figures associated with the city of Liverpool, inspired originally by Liverpool resident and founder of the modern Olympics, John Hulley. The team behind organising this sculpture trail are Liverpool Heartbeat, who encouraged the creation of the trail to promote young people walking into healthy lifestyles, whilst learning at the same time about the city. Liverpool Heartbeat worked with Tom Murphy to create this unique and inspirational art trail.

Our favourite is the Ken Dodd statue at Liverpool Lime Street railway station, complete with his famous 'tickle stick'!
