About The Water Tank Project

Launched in summer 2014, the Water Tank Project was created as part art exhibition and part awareness campaign, highlighting water issues across the globe. The project is a collaborative effort between artists, building owners, and community organisations, helping to revitalise neighbourhoods and bring a sense of pride to the city's residents. The tanks are typically located on top of buildings and are painted with a wide range of designs, from abstract and geometric patterns to illustrations and portraits.

The trail is well documented online although access to certain tanks is limited. You can, however, view some of the tanks on Google Street view.
